My Background

Serving Clients Since 2012

Registered Psychologist (New Zealand and Singapore)

Certified OCD Therapist (International OCD Foundation, IOCDF)

Certified Forest Therapy Guide (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, ANFT)

Chin Meng made a career switch to clinical psychology after a 28-year career in information technology in a multi-national corporation where he held various positions including managerial roles in sales and service delivery across ASEAN and Asia Pacific. His experience in working with people across cultures is beneficial in his role as a clinical psychologist for clients in both local and expatriate communities. Having served roles in both ground and managerial levels in information technology, Chin Meng has faced and managed stress in a fast-paced industry and this lends value in guiding clients in stress management of modern day careers as well as in developing better family and social relationships. As an older person, Chin Meng has his share of life experiences ranging from joyful to deep regrets and sadness. With a sense of humility and his spiritual practices, he has brought these life experiences to bear in therapy and has impacted many clients both young and old.

He worked at Institute of Mental Health (IMH) from 2012 to 2021. His main area of work is providing therapy services to clients at IMH satellite clinic at Queenstown. He also has experience running therapy groups for patients with psychosis. Other aspects of his work include psychological assessments and in-patient ward services. In addition, he had a stint with the intervention services for young offenders and youth-at-risk.
